Ledima Ditau Mining & Resources was established in 2014 by Mr Mogale Mafalo, who was later joined by Mr Kagiso Chuene and Mr Frans Seimela, after identifying opportunities that exist in the changing geo-political conditions in South Africa’s Mining and Construction landscape with transformation as a key pillar, especially the opportunity created by the recently updated MDR Mining Charter and BBBEE code of good practices.

Although the company is relatively young it is built on the solid foundation of a combined 45 years of corporate and mining experience, a valuable resource that makes it possible for us to become a worthy contender in the current mining landscape. With our main focus being on building sound relationships with established role players in the mining and construction industries we aim to provide a comprehensive service with customer satisfaction and value addition at its core.

Currently specialising in opencast mining of coal, it is our strategic intent to expand and diversify our service offering in a country that is rich in underground mineral resources waiting to be extracted through innovative practices, sound corporate governance attitudes, environmental sustainability and the skills development and training of local hosts communities.

As a junior mining company, partnerships through Joint Ventures with established industry role players are ideal in getting projects executed diligently. At present we are working in partnership with Trollope Mining Services 2000 the form of an Enterprise Development agreement in order to acquire knowledge and experience from their mining expertise which exceeds 40 years and includes mine development, load and hauling, plant and equipment hire, earthmoving and earthworks. This agreement also gives us the opportunity to learn from all their business models such as commercial, engineering, finance and procurement.

We are a young, dynamic company proudly rooted in our African Heritage with global aspirations, driven by our fighting spirit to become one of the future leaders in the mining and construction industries.
